Privacy policy

Information we process

• For email sign-up: name, email address, a one-way hash of the password, and email verification status
• When using GitHub login: account identification information and public profile information provided by GitHub
• Content registered directly by users, such as profiles, projects, development logs, prompts, comments, and reactions
• Technical information required for security and incident response, such as sessions, access times, IP addresses, and user agents
• The IP address, product, version, platform, and time when you download a product. We use them to count each version only once per IP address, and delete the IP address after one year

Purposes of use

• Account creation, authentication, maintaining login status, and account recovery
• Publishing community content, providing collaboration features, and handling user inquiries
• Preventing abuse, access control, rate limiting, and ensuring service stability

Retention and deletion

Information is retained for as long as necessary to provide the service and fulfill legal obligations. Until an account deletion feature is provided, deletion requests are accepted through the announced contact channel. Security logs and backups may be deleted after a limited period in accordance with the operating policy.

External services and cross-border processing

If you choose GitHub login, GitHub's personal data processing terms also apply. If PostgreSQL, email delivery, hosting, or monitoring providers are used, the actual providers and processing locations will be specified in this document before the service is made public.

Error reports and update checks in desktop products

Error reporting in TASTEDEV desktop products is off by default and reports are sent only if you agree in the product settings. You can withdraw consent in the settings at any time; reports not yet sent are then deleted from your device.

• Sent: product name, version and build identifier, time of occurrence, severity, error code and type of operation, operating system type, CPU architecture and features, thread count, and static module names
• Never sent: file names, paths, file contents, raw error messages, logs, or account information
• While sending, your IP address reaches Cloudflare and the collection server. The collection server uses it only for rate limiting: it reduces IPv4 addresses to /24 and IPv6 addresses to /56, handles only a hash made with a key that changes daily, and does not store it with reports.
• Reports are kept as long as needed to fix problems and improve the products, and may be copied into issues in a private GitHub repository.
• Update checks: products with an update check look up new version information on GitHub. Your IP address and the product version reach GitHub, and GitHub's privacy terms apply. You can turn off automatic checks in the product settings.

Your rights

Users may edit their own profiles and posts, or remove them using the deletion features provided. Requests to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of personal information may be submitted through the announced contact channel.

Cookies and security

We use essential cookies for login sessions and security verification. To count site visitors, we use an anonymous cookie that is kept for one year; the server stores only a SHA-256 hash of the cookie, not the original value, together with the first and most recent visit times and the visit count. Revisits from the same browser within 30 minutes are not counted again. To count visits per page, we store only the page address (excluding anything after it, such as search terms) and the date alongside the same hash, and the per-page visitor records are deleted after 90 days. Account and settings pages that are visible only after login are not counted. Plaintext passwords and authentication or reset tokens are never recorded in logs, and we apply encryption in transit and the principle of least privilege.

Advertising

Kakao AdFit and Google AdSense advertisements may appear below the main content of documentation, prompt, and project detail pages. To select advertisements and count impressions and clicks, the advertising providers may collect behavioral information such as cookies, advertising identifiers, IP addresses, and browser information, and that information is subject to the providers' own privacy terms. Advertising cookies can be blocked in your browser settings, and personalized advertising can be turned off in Google Ads Settings and Kakao advertising settings. No advertisements are placed on pricing, checkout, account, or settings pages.
