What we tailor

• Only what you need

  Leave out unused modules, menus and plug-ins and install only the features you need.

• Settings and licences preloaded

  Language, theme, default folders, connection details and the licence file go into the package, ready on first launch.

• Updates and outbound traffic off

  Turn off automatic updates, error reports and outbound connections, or route them only to your internal update server and addresses.

• Silent install and mass deployment

  A no-prompt MSI you can roll out with Group Policy (GPO), Intune or SCCM.

• Your company on the installer

  Your company name and logo on the installer, shortcuts and About window, with code signing kept intact.

• Uninstall without a trace

  A matching uninstall that also clears leftover files, settings and registry entries.

How it works

1. 1. Consultation

   We hear which products you use, how many PCs, how you deploy (GPO, Intune, manual) and what must be blocked.

2. 2. Scope and quote

   We list the features to add or remove, the settings to preload and the update method, then send a quote.

3. 3. Build and sign

   We build and code-sign the package, check install and uninstall on test PCs, then hand it over.

4. 4. Again for each release

   When a new version ships, we rebuild it with the same settings (annual contract or per-release quote).

Questions

Which products can be tailored?

Installers for TASTEDEV desktop products (FILES, FTP, SSH, ZIP, CAD), developer tools and server products. What can be tailored for each product is agreed during the consultation.

What about security if updates are off?

With automatic updates off you need to take security fixes yourself, so we agree on an internal update server or a rebuilt package for each release.

How much does it cost?

We quote after hearing the scope: number of products, items to tailor and whether to rebuild for each release. Licences are priced separately.
