The extra setting for query, header, cookie and form models applies to all submitted fields in the same location, including fields declared in other models, individual parameters and dependencies. extra="forbid" rejects fields outside the model, "allow" includes them as extra fields, and the default "ignore" ignores them. This compatibility change can cause existing requests to be rejected, so review sibling parameters and dependencies together before upgrading.
