TASTEREMOTE is a remote desktop where each company runs its own remote server. One installation package holds the host program together with the signaling server and web viewer: turn on the signaling and web services on the server, and run only the host on the computers to be reached. Screen, sound and input travel directly between the host and the browser over WebRTC, and the signaling server only passes connection setup messages. The host program is downloaded from that remote server, and its updates follow that server's version. TASTEDEV runs remote.tastedev.net itself.

Install the TASTEREMOTE package on a server, turn on the signaling and web services, and open the HTTPS address and TURN ports.
Create the first account with the setup token, and get a pairing code from [Add new device] in the dashboard.
On the computer to be reached, download the host from that server, install it and pair it with the code — then open it straight from the browser dashboard.
Viewers connect through the remote server's web viewer with nothing to install. Mouse, keyboard and wheel input and monitor switching happen in the browser.
Screen, sound and input travel directly over WebRTC, with a TURN relay when the path is blocked. All of a host's sessions share a single UDP port.
Both the ID and a one-time password are required, and SPAKE2 authentication with a MAC over the whole connection setup keeps the server from swapping anything in between. The host chooses Allow, View only or Decline.
Pair your computer with your account and open it from the dashboard without an ID. Not even the server knows the device password, and five wrong tries lock it.
In a control session, copy and paste text both ways and upload and download files. Received files are checked with SHA-256.
The remote computer's sound is sent as Opus. The viewer starts muted.
Save the screen, cursor and sound as a video file in the viewer's browser. The host shows a recording notice.
Several people can watch one computer while one person controls it. Hand over or request control without dropping the session.
Bitrate, frame rate and resolution go down and back up with network loss and delay. A slow view-only viewer does not drag down the controller's quality.
The host only switches to a version whose signature checks out, and rolls itself back if the new version does not start properly.
